For several years, the Lotus Organizer has been one of the market leaders in personal information management however, it was slowly overtaken by Microsoft Outlook.
This information management software is continually supported by IBM. or4 format does not allow for data and exchanging in later Windows versions, however, importing and exporting files are still possible. The Lotus Organizer is a part of the Lotus SmartSuite although it has been made available separately because SmartSuite’s latest releases do not include versions of the Organizer. Originally, it was developed by small British software company Threadz before it was acquired by the Lotus Development Corporation after three version releases.
It uses a “leather-bound personal organizer” as its interface which serves as a metaphor for being an organizer itself making it one of its notable features. Developed by IBM, Lotus Organizer is a personal information manager or PIM.
